We had used another alarm company before Phillips and they were terrible, they could never fix a problem we had since the beginning and I was getting calls in the middle of the night saying our alarm had gone offline. As soon as I contacted Phillips, the rep came out and gave me an estimate to replace the existing alarm and it was installed fast and professionally.
We've had them for about three months and have not had a problem. If I have questions, I reach out and they are always available and ready to assist. I highly recommend them!

In early to mid February I contacted Phillips for an alarm install job at my daughters home in Damascus. I told them that there was some electrical work to be done and then a Ring system to install. They told me it was no problem and put me in touch with one of their installers, Sam. I talked to Sam and he said it was no problem and even said it sounded like a pretty simple job to him.
Two weeks before the job date I sent Sam via text photos of the equipment that I wanted installed and again he said that none of it presented a problem. Since I hadn't heard from Sam in the two weeks before the job, I sent him a text the day before to confirm. I got no response and left a message. Sam then texted back and said that he had spoken to his boss and that they would not be doing the job.
He then went on to tell me that the company had been in business since 1952 and how professional they were. Where exactly is professionalism demonstrated in making an appointment and then ignoring the client, responding only when pressured to, and canceling your appointment the afternoon before the job? I would never use this company for anything and would caution anyone considering using them, as this was completely unsat. The stock in trade of an alarm company should be security and reliability. This company has shown neither.

Had an alarm system for 6.5 years and really had no feeling of localized security monitoring or service. Then one summer night I had a couple of prowlers walk through the yard and felt under-equipped. So I called Phillips and got a great consultation. Within no time I was switched to Phillips and got a new up-to-date panel, some additional sensors, and A LOT of great advice for strategizing with security and deterrents from the Phillips rep. PLUS I'm saving a little money over the previous service. The knowledgeable staff even helped me over the phone reconnect my zigbee keypad door lock for remote entry. A GREAT first impression.

Phillips installed my new hi-tech security system in my business three years ago. I just had another camera added as we were having some issues being near a homeless camp. They do an amazing job! Dustin, our technician is a rock star! They are installing a new system in my beach house this Friday. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for security for their home or business. Incredibly professional and affordable!

I recently took over a lease at a place where the previous tenant had up and disappeared and left everything in shambles, including an alarm system installed and serviced by a company that no longer exists. My family has been using Phillips for ~30 years now so I decided to try them out myself and was ecstatic about the service I received. I was expecting to pay hundreds, if not thousands to get the system back up to par, but Phillips was able to do everything for free in exchange for a 3-year contract at a very reasonable rate.
I worked out the scheduling with Janet and Jon, who were both prompt and professional. Jon also did the initial consultation and was awesome to work with. Dustin came out and performed the installation and truly went above and beyond. Instead of trying to get me to purchase more motion sensors to replace the faulty ones, he devised a solution to move the sensors that were working so that I wouldn't have to spend any more money.
I am used to companies trying to nickel and dime me at every turn, so this was a breath of fresh air. I truly can't say enough positive things about Dustin, Jon, Janet, and Phillips as a whole. You guys have a customer for life here.

We recently had the team from Phillips combine two alarm systems in our new facility, from the initial quote from Jon through the complete install from Billy and Ian everything was awesome! They were patient with us as there was construction going on and we had to delay a portion of the install. We added services at the last minute and the team came out the next day to complete the install. Awesome company and very fun to work with.

The service guys were the best, Bobby was quick, efficient and a pleasure to work with during the install. I was a Phillips customer for several years. Their products continued to malfunction and, in each case, their solution was to send out one or two "technicians" to resolve the issue. The bills continued to mount and the problems continued to persist. This is an old company with arcane billing practices. I changed providers and have not had a problem since.

We had a couple of different alarm companies over for our home. Phillips Alarm set me at ease immediately and I had no sense that they were working to upsell me at all. They listened to my needs, and observed the fact I have dogs and took all of this into account. They even looked at the old system that had been installed into the home and worked out how we could reuse elements to save money. All in all, I was very happy with the professionalism and service delivered by Phillips team.

I've had a Phillips home system for thirteen years and it's been highly reliable (as proven by visits from police and fire department when I've screwed up.) When I've needed it, I've always been able to reach friendly help quickly and there have been no hidden or surprise costs. Recently I needed to upgrade the cellular back-up feature, so I decided to purchase a newer panel that allows me to operate things remotely, add some sensors, and switch out all my smoke detectors.
I also had them add a medical emergency button to my fob. Though I didn't shop around (because I didn't want to switch companies) I was surprised at how reasonably priced the whole new system was, especially since installation was very involved. After installation, the company was responsive when I asked them to make free tweaks remotely to fit my personal preferences. And, because I was on a very tight budget (and asked) they let me break the entire cost of the new system into twelve monthly payments. As far as I can tell, the new system is working very well and it feels good to support a local, family-owned business. I'd recommend Phillips in a heartbeat.

Our most recent technician, Doug, did a great job upgrading our system and troubleshooting a phone hookup issue we had during the installation. For the last 29 years we have been using Phillips Electronics for our home security system and always received excellent service, help and response. Recently we moved and Sam Stovin (salesman for Phillips Electronics) came to our new home to review possibilities for installation and give us a quote. He is delightful and we enjoyed getting to know him and appreciated his knowledge and input.
The cost was extremely competitive and as promised Phillips called and set up the installation date. Donald Irvine and Frank Viboch came to do the installation, they worked hard and efficiently and we are very happy to have Phillips taking care of our home security system again. We would recommend Phillips without reservation.

I was referred to Phillips Electronics back in 12/2008. At that time, they did a fantastic job installing an alarm system in my Portland home so it was a no-brainer when I bought a new home in Vancouver, WA to use them again. Besides very professional installation and monitoring, they are easy to reach should you need a refresher on how to use a feature or to answer any other question. You just dial their # and a real person answers the phone. Luv that!

My husband and I just had an alarm placed by Phillips Electronics this spring. First of all, I just wanted to mention how easy they made the whole process. From first inquiry, to getting a bid, alarm installation, and learning how to use the system. All went super smoothly! Each person from Phillips that we talked to either on the phone or in our home was polite, informative and professional.
We feel good about using a local service too! My husband travels for work quite a bit, and now when he is away on business, I can take comfort in the fact that we now have an alarm system protecting our home and our family. I especially like the option to control the alarm system through our cell phones. Now we can arm it from bed if one of us forgets to arm the system. Could also come in handy if you needed to let someone into the house who doesn't have a code or young children.

I've been using Phillips Electronics for two years and have been very impressed with their service. The technician who installed my system was clean and professional, and was very helpful showing me how my system works and how to operate the keypad. Their customer service is top notch. I had a sensor go out on my front door and a tech was out the next day to replace it, no questions asked. There is definitely a benefit with using a company that is local! Highly recommended!

Once upon a time shopping locally was rewarding! This review has been given a single star only because awarding 'zero' is not allowed. I've had service with Phillips for a decade and recently inquired about upgrading from a landline to cellular service. I was told by my representative with the company that my bill would actually go DOWN by doing this so this seemed a no-brainer.
They did install new panels etc but once I got my bill it had gone UP rather than the other way around. When I called to speak to my representative I learned he had retired. I then got a call from the owner of the company and after telling her the situation she kept repeating 'you signed a contract' (I did). Bottom line. I should've read the ancient carbon copies they sent me in the mail (I was told they couldn't email them) before signing but had trusted what my representative had told me. Unfortunately, this monitoring company does not monitor the phone calls for quality assurance so I have no leg to stand on other than my word versus their 'you signed a contract' spiel.
Bottom line/age old wisdom: READ THE FINE PRINT before you sign anything but my advice is to not sign anything with this company. There are plenty of other options from reputable national companies and you'll most likely get far better customer service.

They think it is ok to call at 1 am, multiple times, and to everyone on your emrergency call list, to let you know you need to replace a battery. They did this multiple times, despite being told by the owner to stop. Many other problems to numerous to list. I would not use them under any circumstances.
