Security Professionals was started in 1998 by George & Loretta Nuttle after George's long and successful career with ADT Security Systems as a technician, salesman and manager. "I started Security Professionals, LLC so I could do what I enjoy most about this business, provide good systems and service for my customer's homes and businesses at an affordable cost."Locally-owned and operated in downtown Vancouver, Security Professionals has ready access to the Portland metropolitan area, and through strategic relationships with Honeywell and Bosch Dealers now has customers as far north as Alaska, as far south as San Fransisco, CA, and as far as Boise, Idaho to the east.
It's the people that makes things work, and as George says: "We have been extraordinarily blessed to have good and talented people and family members join us to help in my personal commitment to provide quality service to our customers and treat them as if they were their own because at days end they are."
Systems are monitored in the local area Beaverton and Estecada, OR. We believe in using local rather than National monitoring centers. Security Professionals is an active member of the Vancouver Chamber or Commerce and the Better Business Bureau, and is licensed and Bonded in both Oregon and Washington as a low-voltage contractor. Our service technicians are experienced journeymen and apprentices working toward their journeymen licenses. As the industry grows and technology changes so must alarm companies, and those changes are evaluated and adopted after field testing.

I had been a customer of Security Professionals and at that time was very satisfied with their work and support. I moved to a new home and called them to schedule a quote for a new system. I was told by David that someone would be contacting me in a couple of days to schedule. When nobody called, I called the office back and a different person told me that she didn't know who was meant to call me but that they would not be able to schedule an install for 6 months!
If I had been told that when I first called, I would have looked for other options. No call back as promised and only now find out that they can't provide a quote for install for 6 months. This is not the service that I remember when I was a customer.perhaps they don't want / need returning customers, and that is fine but they should have told me that instead of saying I would get a call back in a couple of days. Edit: I would like to say thank you to George for the call.
The situation that happened was unusual but today George called me and we discussed the situation. I am very pleased to know that the above was not indicative of a change in the way they do business. Human errors happen and this seems to have been just that. I am grateful for the professionalism and kindness that was extended as a follow up to me today and I have adjusted my rating to reflect this as well. Thank you George for your call, it was greatly appreciated!

We have worked with Security Professionals for five years now and highly recommend their services. George and the team went above and beyond recently when we needed our business services moved very quickly and they showed up same day to give us a quote and schedule installation. I am very happy with George and his team for getting my camera and security system up and running. I had questions after everything was installed and George was quick to respond and get me help. I even decided one of my cameras needed the view changed "just a bit" George was happy to help me. The team has been very responsive to my questions, trying to find the best solution to whatever question or concerns I have had. Thank you!

They show up late, I had to search for a company logo on one kid's hat to make sure he actually worked for them because he looked so shady. They could not install my system the way they said they would at first. I had to have them move two cameras after installation because they just completely ignored me when I said where I wanted them. This industry must be lacking in good people because "Security Professionals" is an ironic name for this business.
What a camera failed later, while it was under warranty, they came out (later than they said they would) without the correct camera. Do they not keep files? They didn't end up fixing it in the end. A friend did. My DVR and main unit is still in a place in the house that doesn't make much sense.
