Keypad provide inexpensive traffic control solution for limited number of doors / entry points. Keypad is a good alternative solution for keys, but not when security is a primary concern. Codes can be easily given out and pass around. Although code can be changed, we have found most customers do not change the codes often enough. As number of of the keypads in a system increase, the management of the keypads can be very time consuming. Stand alone keypads do not have any audit trail ability and cannot be restricted with time zone access.
