This company has been great in resource in running our small family business for many years!

I don't know why I didn't go there in the first place. After two fails attempts of having keys made that would work. First attempt Walmart I should of known better. Front door and mailbox why is this so difficult. Keys made a NO, GO. The second attempt Lowes at least they got the mailbox key right front door key another NO, GO. So W.T.F. was I thinking Burdick's security the young woman behind the counter had me out of there in minutes and each key made worked perfect. And I didn't have to look for a employee who knew how to handle the key making machine.

I just needed a new deadbolt to match an existing key, and they were very quick to supply it. They clearly know what they are doing.

We have a rental home that's over 100 years old and the locks needed to be updated. Burdick came over and were fantastic, excellent at their craft & also the friendliest & nicest people around. Super dependable and reasonable cost. Highly recommend!

I've had most likely dozens of keys made by the shop over the past 10 years of living in Seattle. Recommended to countless people in the Southend. But today was the day that I needed to be let in after losing my key. Years ago I called a locksmith that ended up being a scammer. Sure wish I could take back even half of the money they scammed because I could have done this mishap twice over (not that I ever would do this or want to do this but you get the point) I can happily say that in 30 minutes maybe even less I had a new key and was inside! Glenn was extremely efficient and hardly even noticed while he was gone because he was that quick at making a new key for the same lock! Put in the cold? Call Burdick's Security!

As always, Burdick did not disappoint! They got here earlier than expected, masked up and was done within a half hour, cleaning up afterwards and totally fixing our ussue!

Burdick's is the best. I have been their customer for over 20 years. I get keys and locks done there, and I use their home alarm system.

Burdick security is the best security company in the Seattle area! They are a family owned local business and they have great service. Their system is locally monitored and we just had a small problem on a Saturday, when we called the owner himself answered and helped us solve our problem! So so much better than ADT and any service we've ever had. Highly recommend.

My house came with a secure lock, numbered keys. I finally got around to making a few more in June 2018. I also updated the account with my name, property manager name, etc, since I was moving out of town. I bought 5 expensive new keys. Yayy. Well, one of the new keys doesn't work. Whatever, it happens. The property manager takes it back to Burdick's, and a "good" key to compare.

They don't have my updated file information. Can't find my account. But after 15 minutes with me on the phone they find it, it just wasn't "entered into the computer yet." After 8 weeks. They are passing the property manager's phone around the office, between them, while they talk to me. Since we don't know which is the "good" key, the manager must make two, and charges me for one. Otherwise, he says, you'll just have to go home and mark the bad one. That's all I can do, he says.

Never mind it's their fault to start. Never mind how long that will take. Never mind how long I waited for them to sort out their business, making my property manger cool her heels. I'M not going to be out the $13.50, he says. YOU'RE BEING very rude, he says. I was not, for the record. I was just looking for good customer service. Oy!

I rent a very old house. The locks are ancient and confusing. One stopped working out of the blue so we called Burdick's to come check it out. I also had to ask about our bathroom door and changing the lock because I've been terrified my toddler would lock himself in there. Tim Burdick showed up right on time and quickly showed me that my "broken" lock was just user error.

We didn't even realize that it cold be turned on and off with the push of a button and the reason it seemed broken was only because we didn't understand the lock. It was simple and in hindsight, obvious. I felt like an idiot for not figuring this out sooner but Tim didn't make me feel bad about it. I then asked about the bathroom door and he quickly showed me that the lock was basically a vanity lock and could easily be opened from the outside if need be.

Why we hadn't tried that before, I don't know.but he was so kind and gracious and didn't even charge me for the visit, even though it was completely unnecessary. Amazing, kind service and Burdick's will be the only place I call for anything related to my doors/locks in the future. Thank you, Tim!

Tim is my hero! He saved my sanity (and the neighborhood's) by immediately taking my phone call for help. He patiently talked me (a complete klutz) through how to deal with an old Honeywell alarm system in a house I recently bought - an alarm system with no manual and zero instructions from the former owners. That alarm system was activated to an ear splitting level in the middle of the night due to my punching the wrong button in an attempt to turn off the beeping battery.

Until you have had your ear next to an activated alarm, you have no idea how awful it can sound! Having had the benefit of his calm expertise, I am confident Tim treats all of his real customers - not just random callers like me - with kindness, patience and respect. Burdick Security and Tim deserve a 10 star rating and if I ever need an upgraded alarm system, Burdick has my business. Thank you, thank you and thank you! Here are my ten stars: **********!

Glen is the one who helped me piece sevral broke keys back into one good duplicate. Now, I don't have to rent a truck. Save a buck or two

I wrote a review for these people earlier but I have new information. We had another company come test and review the alarm system installed by Burdick. Here is what we found out: 1. Heat sensor in kitchen is not programmed into the system and is non-functional. 2. Smoke alarm in the basement was not replaced with new but the installer did cut all the wires of the old one so it is non functional. 3.

The two car garage doors had hardwired sensors from our old system but the wires were cut and no wireless sensors were installed. Owner insists that they were not part of the old system and not part of replacement contract. 4. We were getting email notifications from a glass break sensor even when we were home and the system was not armed. 5. Our keypads were never programmed so the sensors were not named there.

We had to go online to see what was happening with open sensors. 6. We had them disconnect the improperly programmed glass break sensor but some time later, I visited Alarm.com and saw that there was no history on our account. No log of all the door openings and closings. In the list of sensors, they were all grayed out and labeled as "inactive". The new alarm guy (Froula) was appalled.

We are not even safe from fire until the system is fixed. I suggested the owner come and review his installer's work before we have it fixed. He refused but has emailed back and argued about every flaw in the system his company installed. Just don't use them. You cannot assume their system will keep you safe.

Tim and the Burdick Security crew have been powering my home alarm system for years and their customer service is incredible. You get an actual person on the other end who will work with you to get your alarm set up, integrated into any pre-wiring you might have, monitored with an optional private security guard service, and optionally integrated into your zwave home automation system. Don't know what that means? Burdick will explain that too and make your life easier. They don't make em like this anymore. Home security and automation are complex when you want to do it right, and these folks will help and support you along the way.

Awesome company and great service for a last minute emergency after key broke off in our front door lock and we couldn't get inside the house. Called and spoke to Tim who sent out a locksmith to get the broken key out and let us in our house. Highly recommend especially for a same day emergency as they were slightly cheaper than other locksmiths in the area. Thanks Burdick's Security for helping us through this unfortunate situation.

Glenn was a pro. He helped me buy and deliver/install a safe. Was efficient and friendly. His cost for the safe was 10% less than the competitor up in lake city way. His cost for delivery and installation was half their cost. With one phone call we set everything up and he confirmed delivery that am. Went smoothly. I found them after the lake city way lock and safe company took a week to even call me back and then quoted a charge that was 25% MORE than the cost of the 600$ safe. I would go with Burdicks for all lock and safe needs.

Fast and friendy service. Keys worked like a charm. I will definitely use them in the future!

Tim made a perfect copy of a key for a 2011 Kia Soul. I should have gone to him before researching replacement keys on the internet, where folks reported that the key blank was hard to find. I also figured this job would be too trivial for a fancy security shop like Burdick's. Not so! Tim had the right blank, expertly cut the key in a matter of seconds, and took it out to the car to make sure it worked. Super friendly and efficient service!

Solid, reliable and knowledgeable. Tim has saved us after hours at least 3 times. He is 110% Customer focused. I love supporting a local business. Really impressed with Burdick's. They have been around a while so know the older systems. Great service and a great value. Pay for a year, and get one month free. How cool is that?

I have always trusted Burdick's Security-- they have always been more helpful and responsive than any other security company. At about midnight on Christmas eve last night, our fire detector started alarming LOUDLY. No fire, and we couldn't figure out how to get it to stop. After stressing for half an hour (but only waking one of our three kids) we managed to reach Tim Burdick, who figured out how to silence it remotely. We are SO GRATEFUL that Burdick's security has been so great do do business with, but especially for saving Christmas. They are simply the best!

I had to get some door locks re keyed quickly and they were able to do it. lock was old school several hundred dollars to replace because of the offset on door. The lock mechanism was broken and they repaired that to. They re keyed it I think it was less than 20 bucks.

Thank you for replacing my deadbolts with a more secure deadbolt. We had several break-ins in our area and I now feel more secure with the new locks! They were able to come out 2 days after I called and were friendly and professional!

Chris showed up at my house right on time. He quickly assessed the situation then rekeyed 3 locks & made spares. He was prompt, friendly, efficient & thorough. I was hoping for same-day service (for peace of mind after a security incident), but they did come within 24 hours of my call. The price came to $191 for 3 locks, 6 keys + labor. Seems reasonable to me. I definitely recommend this.place.

We are about to purchase a new home and Burdick Security is who we are turning to not just for monitoring but for lock advice and installation. There's been kick-ins in my neighborhood and I decided to upgrade from my terrible locks and door knob (which whoever installed it the first time used 1/2 screws on) to a high security Medeco lock. I called some other places, but Burdick's was the only one that was able to set in a Medeco lock and deadbolt. I feel a great peace of mind now, and the lock is awesome (so much so that I was warned NOT to get locked out b/c they would have to get the special number to get the special key, and match it to my signature).

I was first impressed by the web presence of this business - I just asked a few questions, and received a quote over email within 24 hours from the owner, After a few emails back and forth to the shop, I decided to go with the Medeco locks, and went by the shop to pick out the equipment I wanted. They were great - and very helpful. I scheduled a time right away, and then the technician (Mike) came out and put on my locks within a few days - they even offered to have someone out on Christmas Eve day. I am so pleased with the service, the presence of this company, and my great new locks!

Even if you just need keys made, they're way nicer and faster than the guys at Home Depot or Lowe's (and I've never had a problem with keys they've made for me. unlike these other places). They cut a spare key for my 1981 Mercedes which is a special laser cut key that would have cost me over $100 from the dealer but they were able to cut the key for me for less than half of the dealer price!
