Paragon Security

This review is based on my interaction with Kiara and Shir during the price quote stage. I eventually went with another firm due to price, so this review is not based on the produce itself, but based on interaction with the team during price quote. I contacted 5 places around NY and NJ. Paragon was the most professional and offered very prompt response. This was my first time trying to hire someone for window burglar bar installation and the communication with the team was seamless and zero frustration.

Update review: The owner called me and told me he is extremely sorry for the interaction I had with the dispatch company. The dispatch company is a third party that takes the calls, not Paragon. It was nice of the owner to call me to try to correct the mistake of the dispatch company. Called this guy to see their ETA because we have a access gate that he would need to be let into.

And the guy on the phone starts yelling at me about "this isn't a private number, this is a business number." "Don't keep calling me." I only called once before to give him the address. Find another locksmith.

Amazing service Michael was extremely helpful and very honest he truly went above and beyond.

Absolutely wonderful! Was in and out in less than five minutes with two new keys. I was told my key type was also on the rare side and they had a wide variety of keys to duplicate. Shir was absolutely delightful with a positive and charismatic demeanor. If I had to duplicate a key again, I would definitely come back.

Came home today to an entry lock that did not want to open. I called Paragon Security & Locksmith and they sent out Tim way ahead of schedule. He quickly and professionally addressed the problem. Very happy with the service and speed at which it was taken care of. Will definitely use them in the future.

Technician was great! Quick to arrive and great follow through. We had to finish our job in the am, and he was very accommodating to come early so I could get my kids to school on time.

I had bad day and got locked out of my car. I called Paragon Security. Bar is professional and helpful he reached to me out in less than 20 mins and fixed my problem. I am so glad it is over so quickly. Thanks guys.

I imagine it is the cost of doing business in New York City but they charge me $600 because I had a Multilock on the door. After I lost my keys I was locked out. The locksmith used a saw to cut away part of the top plate which essentially did nothing, to my eyes it looked like the crowbar the locksmith inserted between the door and the door jam is what actually opened the door. $200 quote on the phone, $600 in reality.

Technician is a real pro he knows what he is doing great prices and fast service. highly recommended to any safe problem!

Available for all kind of locks. As for service. If your management company owes them money from other buildings, They won't show up, unless you pay on site.

Very helpful and awesome service! My landlord changed the building's front door lock and only gave us one key, so needed a new copy stat. Shir literally met me at the door and was able to copy the key in meer seconds. Def recommend to anyone in need of a quick key copy!

They are a reliable, professional, family oriented business. They gave me a great price and timely service even though we're in the middle of a pandemic. While the other locksmiths were trying to haggle and over charge me, Paragon gave me a fair and honest quote. When the locksmith arrived at my home, The job required a bit more work than anticipated and he didn't even charge me.

My wife lost our keys to our apartment. Good thing I had a spare set but needed to get a new lock for peace of mind. I walked into Paragon and made an appointment for the next day. The owner and staff were courteous and professional. The show room was equally impressive. There was a minor glitch with the schedule but once I called for a status, Ron and Shir arrived within minutes.

Both were Covid compliant, also courteous, and professional. Performed an amazing and thorough job of installing a new lock on an exceedingly difficult door. Paragon is my go-to from now on. Thank u Paragon! Highly recommend. FIVE STARS!

My key snapped off in the lock last night. Within fifteen minutes of calling Paragon a locksmith was at my apartment. Shir was efficient, polite, masked for covid, and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend this firm. True professionals with an excellent customer service ethic!

Wanda and Meir at Paragon are the best! I highly recommend Paragon for all of your locksmith and home safe needs. They even offer safe installation in your home for a very reasonable rate if you're in the market for a safe. I had one installed for my partner and they did an incredible job.

Door had been kicked in overnight and the lock was totally busted and wouldn't open. They came immediately (middle of the day on a Saturday) totally replaced the lock and did a great job.

Came here to get some keys copied. Apparently they're open 24/7 and are in an area I used to go to a lot with my ex-husband. It was nice to create some new memories. Service was prompt and friendly. A good find to be sure.

July 12th of last year i purchased locksmith services from Paragon Security & Locksmith. I am troubled to say my experience was very negative: They are inconsiderate of the neighborhood where they do business. While they performed the service for me, they parked their vehicle outside my residence, completely obstructing my access to my bike lane which is directly outside of my house, not to mention forcing other people, including old people and little kids, to swerve dangerously in to traffic, just because theyre too lazy to look for parking. And selfish enough to put someone else in danger to save themselves a couple seconds. Selfish people.

When a friend of mine locked himself out of his apartment at 12:45AM with no money. He called me for help and we found Paragon online. He called and they had someone there by 1:11 just about the time I arrived with my trusty debit card. The locksmith had us in the apartment and settling the bill before 1:30AM. He was also pleasant and communicative the whole time. Also we did not wake the neighbors.

Hands down, your best friend if you're ever in need! Sunny is their mani technician and always on the go. I had a very stressful situation but as soon as I got on the phone with him I felt very reassured. He got to me and it was less than 10 minutes before I was up and running again with all my to-dos. Excellence and accountability and craftsmanship. Eli from Paragon delivered on all three. From the moment I called him on Sunday morning (waking him up through their 24 service number at 6:30am!) to the minute he finished the emergency lock service he was awesome. Respectful, polite, knowledgeable, skilled and most importantly, he fixed the issue and got us into one of the buildings we mange that we had a lock out in right away. Paragon is a top notch company (we are in the property management and construction business for 30+ years so that is a lot to say) and we appreciate Eli's efforts so much.

He is a credit to their company and this is the second good experience with Paragon this week where they successfully handled the issues (intercom and locksmith departments) THANK YOU ELI AND THANK YOU PARAGON!

Good communication when discussing quotes, security needs, including on-site diagnosis. They were able to amend the original plan a few times and the tech got the work done pretty quickly installing and fixing 8 cameras and running new lines. Only negative is that they did not dispose of the extra material and packaging material they bought along.

Shoddy operation. Called them after hours to open a $35 hotel style safe mounted in my closet. Was very specific with the make and model and that the job required someone with strong conventional key lock picking abilities. They sent someone with very little experience in and insufficient tools - a bump key or vibrating lock pick was what was required.

All this guy wanted to do was drill the lock and then sell me an expensive new safe and installation. I should have paid attention to all the other negative reviews and avoided.

I called and made a reservation for the next day and Barak showed up perfectly on-time. He was thorough and stuck to the pricing that was previously discussed over the phone. I had a few different issues of medium complexity and he was quickly able to solve all but one, which turned out to be of major complexity. Barak was knowledgeable, professional and friendly all qualities that I want in my locksmith. Paragon stands by their work, so that if your problems recur, they will come back at no charge. Over the years, they have earned my respect and trust and would never even consider using another company.

I called and made a reservation for next day to change the cylinder of my door. The person on the phone confirmed that price is 145 fixed and I checked the price online as well. But when the guy came, he called for $370. Yes 370 for mere cylinder. Also, when I asked him what happened to 145 fixed cost, his response was my English was not good enough to understand what the person said or maybe he made a mistake.

The more funny thing is he unscrewed the cylinder and emphasized the cylinder (found to be regular 1.5 inch cylinder) is very hard to find and even if I go to home depot, they are going to ask for my license as locksmith and ask me to buy them in bulk so almost impossible for me to do it. I told him to go home although he tried to settle the price down to 250 first and then 200.

He got so mad that he left in silence but I felt like he was threatening me by saying I made him look stupid for having him talk to the manager on the phone to lower the price. However I think he thought I was a doormat because I found out that cylinder only costs 27 bucks at local locksmith and they never asked me for my license. At this moment I'm wondering if there's license for locksmith anyway.

It took me maybe 3-5? mins at max to change the cylinder myself so screw you guys. I was willing to pay 145 plus tip for the guy but he missed the opportunity of making 150+ in three mints because of greed. I want to give them a 0 but 0 star is unavailable. Don't use this company. For your reference, the guy's phone number was from Whichita, Kansas.

This place has everything you can possibly need regardig locks, alarms, home visits for security inspections and very cool gadgets. I'm traveling this week and was looking for something where I can store my valubles without having to worry. I found the perfect Master Lock "Mini safe" with a cord and combination lock. It fits my phone, passport, camera, jewelry and other important documents I might be carrying.

I added some photos. I chose PINK but they have other colors. Very cool place with interesting gadgets. Definitely a lifesaver and I will be returning when I have security needs. They have tons of men working there ready to help. Great place to have nearby.
