When coming home to an armed home security system, you will hear beeping as soon as you open the door. To disarm or silence your security system, simply enter your 4-digit security code.

To arm your home security system when leaving your home unoccupied, make sure all zones are secure and the green check mark is on. Then, press and hold the "Away" button until it beeps. This will arm the entire system. After arming the system to "Away" you'll have 90 seconds to exit your home before the security system is activated.

To arm your security system while you are home, make sure all zones are secure and the green check mark is visible. Then press and hold the stay button until it beeps to arm all perimeter sensors. This level of protection, means that all exterior devices are armed, while all interior devices, such as motion detectors, are disabled.

How To: Make Sure Your Security System is Ready to Arm

Before arming your home security system, it's important to make sure all of your system's zones are secure. A zone is any entry point to your home that is monitored with a sensor. If all zones are secure, you will see a green check mark next to the LCD screen on your keypad. If the check mark is not green, this means that a zone is not secure. If this is the case, use the scroll buttons on the top left side of your touchpad to identify any unsecure zones.
