Completely incompetent company. Left work twice to try and have a key made. First time was told someone would be meeting me at 3 pm. No one showed up and was told they forgot to put me on the schedule. Re-scheduled for another date and time where I again had to leave work to meet them. They came and worked on making a key. Was told they needed to go back to the shop to have the key made and that it would take about an hour and a half to have it made and that someone would call me once it was complete.
Never got a call that day saying my key was made. Called again the following day to find out that the service technician was unable to make the key and would need to come yet again to try and make the key. Was told they didn't have anyone available to make the key until the following Monday. The customer's time apparently has no value with this company and the inconvenience this has now created when I had someone scheduled to work on my vehicle for maintenance this weekend has now delayed work that work being done. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

We have used Village Key and Alarm several times for our home and businesses. We have always had a great experience! Today they installed a burglary alarm at a new commercial property and re-keyed all the locks in the building. All of the guys they sent out today were polite, helpful, and professional. They show up when they say they will and are easy to work with.
I have also felt that their pricing is very fair especially for being as dependable as they are. This business is definitely the first one we call for any security, alarm, or locksmith needs.

Amazing customer service! Wow! Just wow! I was parked outside Aldi this eve and this sweet lady was in such distress. She had locked her keys in the trunk! I called 911 for her telling the dispatcher the story and she kindly recommended Village key and a couple others as the police can no longer undo locks ( understandably). I called right at 5 and the gentleman informed me it would be a $75 service call (reasonable for an after hour call), but the lady burst into tears.
He must have heard her, asked me to hold, and talked to the owner who instructed him to do the call for FREE! What!?!?! This sweet lady had previously had a stroke and was so upset that this had happened and she didn't know what she was going to do! When he said that, she and I both cried! Wow! Just wow! Don't remember the name of the man I spoke with, who helped her out, and I don't know the owners name, but what a Godly person to do this. both of them! Thank you! Do business with this company! I would not recommend driving more than 15 minutes to get here. I need a copy of a key for a new car I purchased (requires special laser cutting copy machine); I called them TWICE to discuss by make and model then drove over to see them. When I arrived I learned an appointment is required for that make and model -- they clearly do not keep customer information from one inquiry to the next.
I made an appointment and returned at that time to learn their sole technician was not available. "Oh, didn't anyone call you?" Keep in mind I must drive ONE HOUR ONE WAY to get to this location. It's too bad. this seems like a "mom and pop" type business, the kind of Buy Local sort of enterprises I like to support. But after wasting two calls and three trips (each trip taking 2 hours of my time) I am giving up. Someday, somewhere, I'll be in a larger city where I can get the copy of the key made at a business that won't keep jerking me around.

2 times I've ordered key fabs and both times I've had issues. The first time I called and told him I was on my way and should be there in 30 minutes. I arrived and was informed he left for the day. Today I call and say I'm coming up there and as I pull in right at 1130 he looks at me and locks the door and flips the closed sign for lunch. Time to take my business some where where customer service is a priority.

We needed an alarm system and surveillance system for our business. I got a couple quotes and ended up going with village key and alarm because they had the best price. They helped me through several options and explained everything to me so that I understood what I was purchasing. They did the install for both, and their technicians were always on time, called ahead, and were courteous and helpful.
Even when I had questions about the alarm app on my phone a week later, they helped walk me through it again. My husband ended up using them for his system as well and we have continue to refer their service to others. I highly recommend Village key and alarm!

I have used Village Key and Alarm (VKA) several times over my 10 years in Saint Augustine. Each experience was positive, the staff is friendly, professional, with a fair price and quick service. My last experience was the best. I needed a new proximity key for a NIssan Leaf. This is a complicated process, VKA got me a new key for $50 or more less than the dealer would have charged and also threw in a new battery for my old key. I was able to schedule the work in advance, and they completed it in a short time. I highly recommend them.

We own a small Automotive repair facility. We have used them multiple times for key cutting, lock replacements, and general information. They have gone above and beyond problem solving issues that were caused by faulty manufacturing. They certainly did not have to do that. Mario and Dylan have been very helpful and patient. We look forward to doing further business with them for our shop and home.
